20 Dec INFOOD 2025: Zermatt
On December 16th, the INFOOD gourmet tour stopped in Zermatt, transforming the Hotel Tannenhof into a new stage dedicated to Italian food and wine excellence. After a successful debut in Montreux, the second stop confirmed the strength and vision of the project promoted by Ristorfoods in collaboration with Quality Taste: bringing the best of Made in Italy food to the heart of Switzerland, creating authentic connections between producers and industry professionals.
INFOOD IN ZERMATT: ITALIAN EXCELLENCE AT THE FOOT OF THE MATTERHORN
In one of Europe’s most iconic Alpine resorts, at the foot of the majestic Matterhorn, INFOOD reaffirmed its identity as a dynamic and relational event. The choice of Zermatt was no coincidence: an international destination par excellence, a crossroads of high-end tourism and quality dining, it represents an ideal setting for showcasing products that draw on tradition, craftsmanship, and innovation. The elegant and intimate atmosphere of the Hotel Tannenhof fostered face-to-face meetings, targeted tastings, and opportunities for concrete discussion between Italian companies and local operators.
TWENTY COMPANIES, A JOURNEY THROUGH ITALY
Twenty Italian companies, selected for their quality, identity, and ability to showcase their region, also took center stage in Zermatt. From baked goods to excellent cheeses, from sweet and savory regional specialties to premium spirits and coffees, each stand offered a complete sensory experience. Guided tastings, presentations, and opportunities for discussion allowed restaurateurs, chefs, buyers, and HoReCa professionals to gain first-hand insights into the production processes, delving not only into the products themselves, but also into their family histories, processing techniques, and corporate philosophy.
A BRIDGE BETWEEN CULTURES, PROFESSIONS, AND MARKETS
The Zermatt event also confirmed INFOOD’s mission: to be much more than a trade fair, to become an authentic meeting place. Ristorfoods strongly believes in the value of cultural exchange related to food, and the event successfully recreated that convivial spirit that places human connections at the center, fostering new business collaborations and consolidating existing relationships. The presence of industry professionals, specialized shops, and restaurant professionals made the day lively and productive, demonstrating the strong interest in a quality Italian offering capable of standing out in a demanding market like the Swiss one.
EDUCATION AND THE FUTURE: THE VALUE OF TRANSMISSION
As in the first event, INFOOD also maintained a close focus on the educational dimension. Food and wine culture was presented not only as a commercial opportunity, but as a heritage to be passed on, a universal language capable of uniting regions and generations. Food thus confirmed its role as a vehicle for identity, dialogue, and harmony: a particularly significant message in an international location like Zermatt, where different cultures meet daily.
A JOURNEY THAT CONTINUES
The December 16th stop consolidated the success of the INFOOD format, strengthening the project’s presence in Switzerland. After Montreux, Zermatt was the next step in a growing itinerant journey, aiming to further spread the value of Made in Italy food in Switzerland. A journey that combines quality, passion, and concrete relationships: elements that continue to make INFOOD a reference event for those who believe in Italian excellence and the power of dialogue through good food.
